School Begins August 23rd
I can't wait to meet you and get started!
I hope you've had a wonderful summer and are ready for the challenge of fourth grade. I've been working hard getting our classroom ready for school to begin. You will notice some changes this year; especially in the number of desks. Our student population at Cullen has increased and so has our class size. We are expecting 34 students this year! Some fun things to look forward to this year in fourth grade:
P.E. with Mr. Clark every other day
Music (your choice of string instrument or vocals) every
other day
Technology in our classroom - we have a SMARTboard, a document camera, and classroom responders to use in our learning!
Science with Mrs. Vandenbroeke Wednesdays and Thursdays
Computer lab - we will work more with Powerpoint, Wordle, Study Island, Photo Story, and some other fun things!
Little buddies - we will be "big buddies" to Mrs. Conklin's first grade class
California history! Our social studies curriculum is centered around learning all about our great state. We will learn about its geography, explorers, people past and present, missions, the Gold Rush, and its government.
Field trips! We will visit the L.A. County Fair, San Gabriel Mission, and visit the Gene Autry Museum.
I am looking forward to a great year! Download a classroom supply list below.
